MAP 101
Thoughtful brands. Clear advertising guidelines.
Understand Minimum Advertised Price policies and where to find the requirements for the brands you carry.
What MAP means
Entrenue’s public brand introduction explains that MAP governs advertised pricing rather than the actual selling price. Requirements differ by brand.
Restrictions to look for
- Third-party marketplace restrictions
- Online selling restrictions
- Authorized-dealer requirements
- Geographic sales restrictions
How policies are enforced
Manufacturers and Entrenue may review advertised prices. A retailer may be asked to correct a violation, and repeated violations can lead a manufacturer to request that distributors stop supplying that retailer.
Find the current brand requirements
Contact the sales team for the policy that applies to a particular manufacturer. Account holders can also open MAP 101 on the existing Entrenue site.
